About Us
Established by a handful of individuals as an independent, non-profit, and non-governmental organization (NGO) in the year 2013, Dristi Welfare Foundation is now an organization that supports the cause of women, children and youth in India. DWF works hand in hand with the Government, NGOs and the Corporates to provide strategic support for elevating the livelihoods of less privileged and marginalized communities.
Access to water, sanitation, and hygiene are the basic needs of human beings. The lack of safe drinking water is a major public health issue, and water-borne diseases can be life-threatening. Unfortunately, over one-third of the world’s population does not have access to adequate sanitation and millions of deaths occur due to lack of safe drinking-water. Realising the fact that sizeable and scalable difference can only be made through partnership with like-minded organizations, DWF has networked with several national and international bodies in fulfilling the dream of making provision of safe drinking water, adequate sanitation, and hygiene for the needy people in both rural and urban areas.
Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development for any country. Those with better levels of skills adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of world of work. DWF works for the promotion of self employment and wage employment through well-defined educational and training interventions. DWF has played active roles in promotion of entrepreneurship and social development and has successfully organized large number of training programmes, seminars, workshops and on the job training sessions for the rural community.
